Course Analytics
How to track course progress, review assessments, monitor member activity, and see revenue from your courses — all in one place.
Course Analytics
The analytics section gives you a clear picture of how your courses are performing — who's progressing, who's stuck, what's generating revenue, and where you might need to make improvements. Think of it as your course report card.
Four types of analytics
Your course analytics are split into four sections, each giving you a different lens on performance. Watch this step (0:00)
Course progress
This shows how participants are moving through each course. Click on a specific course to see who's enrolled, how far along they are, and who has completed it. Watch this step (0:14)
For each participant, you can see:
- Completion percentage — how far they've gotten (e.g., 75% through the course)
- Lessons completed — which specific lessons they've finished
- Last activity — when they last accessed the course
If you notice someone has stalled midway through your course, it's a great opportunity to reach out personally. A simple "Hey, I noticed you're halfway through — is there anything I can help with?" can re-engage someone who got distracted by life.
The course progress funnel
The dashboard also shows a visual funnel that tracks how learners move through three stages:
- Signed Up — enrolled in the course
- Started — began engaging with lessons
- Completed — finished the entire course
The percentage at each stage tells you where people drop off. For example, if 100 people sign up but only 20 complete the course, you know there's an opportunity to improve engagement in the middle sections.
The course dashboard shows a 30-day snapshot and updates every 6 hours. It also highlights your top performing course (highest engagement) and least performing course (lowest completion rate) — so you know where to focus your attention.
Assessments
This section shows quiz and assignment submissions from your participants. You can see who submitted what, their scores, and export the data for a closer look. Watch this step (0:40)
Click on any assessment to see the details, or use the Export button to download the data as a spreadsheet — useful if you want to review submissions offline or share them with a co-instructor.
Member analytics
This gives you a deeper look at individual members — how often they log in, when they were last active, and their overall progress across all courses. Watch this step (0:53)
What you can see for each member:
- Name and email — who they are
- Membership start date — when they joined
- Last accessed — when they last logged in
- Number of logins — how many times they've visited
- Overall progress — completion percentage across all their courses
You can click on any member to drill deeper into their progress per course, per module, and per lesson. You can even mark lessons as completed on their behalf if needed (for example, if someone attended a live session that was also available as a recorded lesson).
Filter members by specific courses or offers to focus on a particular group. For example, see only members enrolled in your "8-Week Programme" to track that cohort's progress separately.
Revenue analytics
This shows how much money your courses have generated. Watch this step (1:04)
Key metrics:
- Total revenue — how much you've earned from course sales
- Total checkouts — number of completed purchases
- Upsell conversions — how many people bought additional courses through upsells
- Average order value (AOV) — your average revenue per learner
- Month-over-month comparison — how this month compares to last month
You can also see which specific offers are driving the most revenue. Watch this step (1:23)
Revenue data only appears once you've had at least one paid purchase processed through the system. If you're offering a free course, you won't see revenue data for that course — but you'll still see progress and member analytics.
What the numbers mean for your business
| Metric | What it tells you | What to do about it |
|---|---|---|
| Low completion rate | People are signing up but not finishing | Review where they drop off — the content there might need improving, or it may be too long |
| High sign-ups, low starts | People enrol but never begin | Your welcome email or onboarding might need work — make the first lesson irresistible |
| Frequent logins | Engaged members who return regularly | These are your VIPs — consider offering them advanced content or a referral incentive |
| Declining revenue | Fewer people buying over time | Review your marketing, update your offer, or test a new pricing strategy |
| High AOV | Each buyer spends a lot | Your bundles and upsells are working — keep going |
Exporting your data
You can export analytics data as a spreadsheet from most sections. Click the Export or CSV button in the top right corner. This is useful for:
- Sharing progress reports with co-instructors
- Preparing for a review meeting
- Sending to your accountant (revenue data)
- Creating your own custom reports
